A powerful conversation addressing the disparity in cancer treatment among African Americans. With a heartfelt plea to embrace research and medical advancements, Dr. Dawkins is on a quest to empower his community to conquer cancer and rewrite their health narrative.

Vanta STEM began in 2020, the year of the tragic murder of George Floyd and countless others who identify as Black. After several months of filling in petitions, sharing social media posts, and debating on whether to attend protests in the middle of a pandemic, they were inspired to start a movement to celebrate Black Scientific Excellence. It started as a way to spread positivity within the community whilst drawing attention to the ever-important topics of racial and social inequity which exists within the STEM industries. In Clive and Ali's combined 20 years in industry they have often been the only Black person in their teams, departments and sometimes even in the entire company! Yet, they have successfully navigated the daunting landscape of being a minority in the STEM corporate environment. Along the way they made costly mistakes, discovered harsh truths and experienced setbacks; partly due to looking, sounding and thinking "different". They learned how to see these differences as strengths, which they have used to develop skills which they now use to their advantage. Their goal is to transfer those skills to others by providing insight, knowledge and practical solutions.
