As a Senior Manager Commercial Logistics you will lead the creation and management of comprehensive global category strategy for commercial Logistics and distribution. The role will entail optimizing end-to-end value-chain, selecting, and negotiating with distributors, ensuring that products reach end customers efficiently and cost effectively. Responsibilities will include cross-functional collaboration to mitigate risks and fostering positive relationships with key partners around the world. This position requires a professional with a deep understanding of global supply chain management, distribution practices and global trade compliance. *In this role you will:* · Develop and implement a comprehensive global category strategy for Commercial Logistics to cover all GSK distributor’s markets, aligning with GSK’s strategic ambition · Perform a thorough evaluation of the global distributors network, to proactively identify improvement opportunities · Collaborate with the markets leadership teams to develop the customer strategic business plans and to ensure that partners are aligned to GSK’ goals and objectives · Lead distribution tender process, ensure compliance with GSK Procurement policies and procedures, negotiate contracts with distributors to maximise business opportunities and growth across distributor managed markets · Develop and maintain strong relationships with global distributors. Evaluate and select distributors based on factors such as quality, reliability, cost and compliance with ethical and sustainability standards · Build strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with global and strategic partners with focus on continuous improvement, innovations and sustainability · Lead budgeting process, develop cost models and provide assumptions to Finance/GM and Supply Chain. Analyse budget variances and recommend cost-saving initiatives. *Key responsibilities:* · Development and execution global category strategies for commercial logistics and distributors · Identify opportunities for process optimisation, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and lead continuous improvement initiatives · Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring business alignment on critical objectives · Build strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with global and strategic partners with focus on continuous improvement, innovations and sustainability · Lead budgeting process, develop commercial models and provide assumptions to GM, Finance and Supply Chain · Lead tender process, ensure compliance with GSK Procurement policies and procedures, negotiate contracts with distributors · Work closely with commercial, sales, supply chain team to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation of global category strategy, while promoting the sharing of best practices and directing benchmarks · Evaluate distributors performance regularly and implement improvement plans as necessary to meet GSK’s standards and objectives *Required Qualifications and Skills:* · Proven experience in global logistics role with a focus on management of global distributors, route to market and end to end supply chain · Strong category management and strategic sourcing knowledge and experience in Commercial Logistics · Previous experience in developing and executing multi-year global category strategies within global Logistics a requirement given GSK’s expansive footprint · Deep understanding of market drivers effecting category and of the latest tools for executing sourcing strategies (Jaggaer, Ariba, etc.) required for annual benchmarking, sourcing, and negotiation process · Strong skills necessary for complex negotiations with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders · Experience in managing the delivery of global scale projects and change management *Other Capabilities / Characteristics:* · Strategic thinker with a global mindset, proficiency in global benchmarking and external networking to foster global collaboration · High energy, enthusiastic and results driven · Strong business acumen · Distinctive direction and management skills · Resilient and persistent with the ability to make the right choices at global level · Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and a collaborative mindset #LI-GSK *Why Us?* GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together – so we can positively impact the health of billions of people and deliver stronger, more sustainable shareholder returns – as an organization where people can thrive.
