If you are interested to help GSK get ahead of disease together, this is the role for you! The *Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Portfolio Manager* is a role in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). In this role you'll be responsible for ensuring that the *Agile Release Train* (the team of agile teams) work well together and follow the *SAFe *processes to achieve outcomes. It is a servant leader and coach role for the Portfolio (equivalent to Agile Release Trains (ARTs), or team of teams), just as a Scrum Master is a servant leader for an Agile team. They know how lean and agile practices can work at scale. *Release Train Engineer / Portfolio Manager* *Key Responsibilities:* - *Coach the lean-Agile mindset *and practices to members of the Agile Release Train, including Scrum Masters, Agile team members and business owners - the RTE role is expected to *lead the change management activity *within a portfolio, associated with changes to the operating model emerging from APO - *Review portfolio performance management *on a regular basis - *Optimise the flow of work* through the Agile Release Train - *Capture programme flow metrics*, and other useful metrics, to support relentless improvement - Help the product managers *prepare for PI Planning* and ensure the vision, roadmap and programme backlogs are ready - Help teams with feature estimation and the aggregation of estimates for larger pieces of work such as capabilities and epics - *Help manage risks,* dependencies and resolve impediments - Support the creation, and relentless improvement, of a continuous delivery pipeline by *promoting DevOps practices* within the organization - *Support Porftolio adoption* of standard tools suh as *Aha!* And *Jira *to the management of Portfolio Process and data - Work with the product teams to provide *guidance in Agile, Scrum and SAFe *and* to the Product Managers* *Why You?* *Basic Qualifications**:* - *Experience in Senior Stakeholder management * - Experience of *Scrum* Master / Scrum and *Project Management* and *Delivery *experience operating in a multitude of scale projects from small to large *(£50k to multimillion programmes)* - Lead teams that have developed successful software products from concept to adoption - Experience of portfolio management - Enough technical knowledge to understand your team’s software products - Strong understanding of product management techniques including customer development, discovery & primary research, lean start-up method and industrialisation/scaling-up *Preferred Skills:* - Experience of working within a matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders to manage - Experience in continuous improvement, Lean , Six Sigma - Experience of delivery in Regulated Industries #LI-GSK #LI-Hybrid #LI-DEI #LI-releasetrain *Why Us?* GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together – so we can positively impact the health of billions of people and deliver stronger, more sustainable shareholder returns – as an organization where people can thrive.
