*Job description* *Site Name:* UK - West Sussex - Worthing *Posted Date:* Jan 26 2024 Programme Manager *Closing Date for Applications – 9th February (COB)* *This is a site-based role at Worthing.* The GPS function at GSK Worthing’s manufacturing site is responsible for the deployment of the GSK Production System (GPS), as well as driving continuous improvement to deliver business strategy and oversee the execution of site projects to improve business performance across safety, quality, cost and people. The Programme Manager role is responsible for setting up and managing successful large projects or programmes at the Worthing site, providing oversight, controls and reporting for multiple interdependent projects with the aim to support the site strategy deployment process. Discover more about our company wide benefits and life at GSK on our webpage *Life at GSK | GSK* In this role you will: - Responsible for monitoring programmes of work, tracking changes, resolving issues, and initiating corrective actions where required. - Identify and implement appropriate resource management for programmes / projects. - Accountable for managing programme risks and issues and taking corrective action. - Coach, train, and mentor project managers to support successful development of capability and aid successful completion of defined programmes of work. - Responsible on maintaining the site SIP (Site Improvement Plan) ensuring it is kept up to date with accurate reporting and leading the governance process for all programmes on the SIP. - Responsible for supporting the Worthing Strategy Reviews and the annual Strategy Deployment process and act as a project manager on significant projects as required. *Why you?* Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: - A project/programme management qualification or equivalent. - Demonstrated project and / or programme management skills including prioritisation and delegation of project-team related activities. - Ability to lead project governance with senior managers and influence with or without authority at levels above and below own grade level. - Ability to work with a Project Team to identify novel solutions to specific project related issues. - Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and oral) coupled with the ability to tailor these to a variety of audiences. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: - Experience in implementing projects governance and tracking in a matrix and complex environment. - Experience in continuous improvement. - Previous experience in pharma industry - Experience in change control process *About Worthing Manufacturing Site:* Manufacturing at the Worthing site is for antibiotics.
