*Lead Engineering Planner*
There is a new opportunity for a Lead Engineering Planner to join GSK based
in Montrose on a full-time and permanent basis.
This a challenging role, which creates visibility due to exposure of a
diverse group of functions across engineering and planning. We are looking
for a determined individual with strong influencing and communication
skills as well as a strong willingness for change.
*Job Purpose*
The role is part of the Engineering Directorate. To coordinate maintenance
activities across the site. Acting as the engineering interface for
respective area planners, team managers, professional engineers, and
operations. To prioritize and coordinate all planned (and unplanned)
maintenance activities in support of plant maintenance and production.
Support continuous improvement by participating in the analysis of failures
and downtime during weekly maintenance reviews. To work with the long-term
production planners and develop a yearly overview of maintenance. To
support the sites maintenance of SAP data quality. The role is a
combination of leading a team and hands on delivery of a service.
*In this role you will…*
- To lead and manage the Engineering planners and team support engineers.
- Support and produce a maintenance plan for a 12-month period and issue
weekly maintenance plans for the maintenance team. Monitoring and
developing solutions to ensure Engineering work and resource availability
are aligned.
- Take full account of routine maintenance tasks and ensure they are
scheduled such that out of tolerance dates are not exceeded, with a focus
on eliminating PM deviations.
- Liaise with production planners for alignment of engineering works
with production windows.
- Produce matrices for planned maintenance to enable performance
monitoring. Provide Engineering Key Performance Data (KPI’s) for reporting
both on and offsite.
- Support communication and collaboration across plant engineering and
maintenance teams.
- To identify and manage the implementation of engineering maintenance
planning process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a technical understanding of SAP, supporting the
site and colleagues as required.
- Maintain a network with SAP experts through Plant Maintenance
Community of Practice (PMCoP).
- Support and produce specific site shutdown plans.
