As a Final Signatory & Patient Affairs Manager you will be reporting to the
ViiV Healthcare (VHC) UK Country Medical Director you will provide internal
and external medical affairs support to the ViiV UK Local Operating Company
(LOC). You will work closely with the Policy Director on the planning and
implementation of patient related projects, which are aligned to local and
regional priorities.
The role is targeted to an individual who is an ABPI signatory status with
up-to-date knowledge of ABPI code of practice or confirmed willingness to
be trained to become such a signatory within first year of employment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
• Final signatory for above brand and brand related materials.
• Close cross-functional collaboration with colleagues both locally and
regionally from other areas such as marketing, market access, sales &
digital.
• Support our field-based medical and commercial teams
• Develop effective relationships with key external experts and
organisations (including as required healthcare professionals, policy
makers and patient advocacy groups) to ensure that VHC retains a leading
voice in the UK pharmaceutical industry within the field of HIV.
• Planning and implementation of local and national goals for the area of
patient relations/affairs.
• Overall leadership of patient affairs strategy
• Lead of UK Patient Empowerment Working Group Build integrated, compliant,
empowerment plan for PLWHIV and those who can benefit from Prep.
• Provide representation at the relevant meetings to champion the patient
voice, aligning the UK team behind patient focus mission.
• Liaise with the patient community to gather insights to help design
programmes that benefit them
• Single point of contact for above country for patient/PAG engagement
• Insight generation (e.g., advisory work) and regular stakeholder
engagement (incl. mapping and advocate development)
• Representing ViiV at national and international congress where appropriate
• Responsible for PAG grants and donations including monitoring and
evaluation.
*About You:*
*Required qualifications and skills: *
- GMC registered medical doctor or GPhC registered pharmacist
- ABPI signatory status with up to date knowledge of ABPI code of
practice or confirmed willingness to be trained to become such a signatory
within first year of employment
- Understanding and interest in health policy and UK healthcare
environment.

- Effective lateral thinking capabilities – able to develop innovative
operational and strategic solutions which add value to the development of
the business
- Able to read and understand key aspects of clinical research and
scientific studies to provide clinical input to commercial colleagues.
- Able to make suitable and company-aligned risk-based decisions in
context of approval of marketing and other materials
- Business understanding – keen to understand the business perspective
and contribute proactively to commercial strategy.
- Effective networker and team worker – internally and externally – must
be able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and
external customers/opinion formers/influencers.
- Proactive, self-motivated, self-reliant with strong accountability
- Effective organisational and planning skills – will focus on goal
achievement.
