We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our organization as the Director, Global Process Owner for Risk Management (RM) and Management Monitoring (MM) within R&D. This role is instrumental in driving the acceleration of product development through a structured approach to Quality by Design and proactive risk management.
As a member of the R&D Risk Management Team, the Director will lead efforts to enhance process design, efficiency, and integration, standardizing global RM and MM processes and practices to deliver measurable value. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Establishing strategic direction
- Defining comprehensive training strategies
- Overseeing continuous improvements across R&D functions
A seasoned risk management expert, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and strategic risks, actively promoting a culture of proactive risk management within the organization. In This Role, You Will:
Drive a strategic operating model for RM and MM, acting as the single point of contact for end-to-end processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across R&D.
- Maintain and ensure compliance of processes, including standards, learning materials, and guidance, aligning with document hierarchy.
- Lead and prioritize process improvement initiatives, fostering innovation and continuous improvement to streamline and enhance efficiency.
- Develop a global training and communication strategy for assigned processes, fostering an engaged Community of Practice to share best practices across R&D.
- Monitor and assess KPIs to ensure process compliance, collaborating with cross-functional users to achieve outcomes.
- Build a strong stakeholder network, partnering with R&D leaders to integrate risk management and management monitoring into business performance, and provide expertise during audits and inspections.

REQUIREMENTS
### Basic Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for professionals with the following required skills to achieve our goals:
Educational Background: A degree (or equivalent) in a Scientific, Finance, Business, or Economics Discipline field.
- Experience: Proven record of robust experience (ideally in R&D) in Quality/audit/CAPAs, successfully executed in challenging circumstances, with multiple stakeholders and conflicting interests.
- Risk Management: Experience in the pharmaceutical/vaccines industry, finance, or business, with a proven record of leading multiple complex projects successfully in a matrix environment. This includes problem-solving, self-discipline, and operating under pressure with changing priorities and difficult circumstances.
- Quality and Risk Management: Proven record of robust experience (ideally in R&D) in quality- and risk management-related areas, including root cause analysis and the ability to drive pragmatic, data-driven decisions. Focus on high-impact areas with attention to detail while fully considering the big picture and interconnections.
- Tools and Methodology: Experience using risk management tools and methodology.

Internal Control Framework (ICF): Proven record of implementing the Internal Control Framework (ICF) and, in particular, Risk Management and Management Monitoring ICF elements, in a naïve population, with successful outcomes.
- Regulatory Expertise: Expertise in essential regulatory guidelines worldwide, as well as GSK company policies and procedures. This includes detailed knowledge of GSK SOPs, ICH, and FDA regulations as they impact all aspects of drug development. Alternatively, a strong understanding of financial markets or business operations.
