The Roche Pharma Development Clinical Science Fellowship aims to recruit high quality MD, PhD or MD/PhD graduates within Life Sciences for specialist training in the late stage Neuroscience (PDN) and Immunology, Infectious Diseases, and Ophthalmology (I2O) clinical science development groups.

 

The program has been designed to diversify and broaden academic training through exposure to clinical trial methodology and cross-functional teams operating globally working with internal experts in the field at Roche.

The fellowship will be 2 years in duration, primarily based at Roche Headquarter Basel, CH, within the clinical science development groups, which are responsible for the strategy, design and execution, and result interpretation of late phase clinical trials. This position is within the Translation and Technology Research team which aims to use technology and innovation to work on clinical questions to accelerate clinical development. This project will work on an interface between neurosciences and ophthalmology.

 

As a Fellow at Roche you may:

Be involved in the design, execution, analysis and interpretation of data from studies for using novel technologies.

Participate in key clinical strategy, implementation meetings in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities and challenges of the development of new medicines.

Generate and present abstracts and oral presentations for key external conferences and other specialty meetings as well as publication opportunities.

Be involved in discussions and activities around Clinical Science Innovation.

Requirements

For whom is the Roche PD Clinical Science Fellowship suitable for?

Highly motivated PhD graduates in Life Sciences, MD or MD/PhD with interest in innovation in clinical research.

A strong team player with an agile mind-set and looking to diversify their career skills.

Interested in further understanding and influencing the development and approval of medicines for patients.

Good understanding of Neuroscience (PDN) and/or Ophthalmology (I2O) diseases is preferred.

Excellent English skills, written and spoken.

Previous clinical research experience is advantageous.
