 Clive Sowah is a Project Manager, Process Engineer and R&D Scientist with expertise in the Pharmaceutical and Fast Moving Consumer Good Industries. His career began in Ghana after completing a BSc in Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Greenwich. He undertook 2 internships with major pharmaceutical companies, establishing himself in commercial manufacturing and quality control and assurance. After returning to the UK to complete an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis he took on various roles such as Formulation, Analytical and GMP scientist for billion-dollar brands, as well rising through the ranks as a Process Engineer by conducting technical transfers, improving facilities and introducing new products to market. He currently works as a research and development Project Manager, planning CMC projects from initiation to launch. He manages the successful execution of multi-million budgets by empowering cross-functional teams, mitigating risks and excellent stakeholder engagement.

 Ali Saad is a Chartered Chemist and a Chartered Scientist specialising in analytical chemistry and polymer science. With an MSc in Forensic Analysis, Ali specialises in material characterisation, complex problem solving, non-routine analysis, and the communication of highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience. He began his career in Australia working for a major automotive lubricant manufacturer, conducting compositional assays using wet chemistry techniques and analytical instrumentation, such as chromatography and spectroscopy. Upon returning to the UK he has held numerous and diverse positions across the energy, polymer, speciality chemical, automotive and marine industries, including roles as a Reservoir Engineer, an R&D Chemist and a Regulatory Specialist. With an MSc in Forensic Analysis, Ali specialises in material characterisation, complex problem solving, non-routine analysis and in the communication of highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience. He currently works as a Consultant Chemist; a subject matter expert on quality disputes for marine cargoes and marine fuels. He also deals with material failure investigations for polymers and protective coatings.  Clive and Sowah are the founders of Vanta STEM, which began in 2020 as a movement to celebrate Black Scientific Excellence and spread positivity within the community whilst drawing attention to the ever-important topics of racial and social inequity within the STEM industries. With over 20 years in STEM, they aim to transfer their skills learnt to others by providing insight, knowledge and practical solutions.

Adeola Adelusi serves as a Global Study Manager and holds the position of Lead Host for our Conversations with Black Pharma events. With a robust 6-year tenure in clinical research, Adeola's expertise spans across various therapy areas. He is deeply committed to personal development and has contributed his skills at esteemed organizations including Richmond Pharmacology, Novartis, Re: Cognition Health, Astra Zeneca, and Roche. In his leisure time, Adeola is a dedicated guitar player and a creative individual who takes pleasure in bringing people together.
